[12
June 2005] Happy Birthday, Bruce! We're all remembering you today.
[2 May 2005] BRUCE'S INSPIRATION LIVES ON! The combined choirs of the
Worcester Consortium gave a very successful performance of Carl Orff's Carmina Burana in Mechanics' Hall,
Worcester, on the afternoon of May 1st. John Delorey paid tribute to
Bruce in the Telegram & Gazette
- details are in the Bibliography.
[24-26 October 2004]
First anniversary of the Memorial Weekend. Thinking specially
of Bruce's brother, Tom, who lost his mother too at this time
last year. Thinking of all who contributed to last year's success.
Your support has meant a great deal during these past 12 months.
[13 October 2004] HOLY CROSS LIGHT OPERA COMPANY. Bruce's last venture
at Holy Cross was to help the students start the Holy Cross Light Opera
Company. The LOC members invite you to visit their website http://college.holycross.edu/studentorgs/loc/
[September 2004] THANKS TO BRADEN! Braden Mechley, Bruce's good friend
and colleague, who has done so much during the past year, is taking
time out to recharge his batteries. Thanks, Brady, for all your hard
work with the Memorial events, website, mailing list, and so much more.
You were on the spot when it mattered most last year, and your support
has meant a great deal to many people.
[31 July 2004] First anniversary of the announcement of Bruce's death.
[12 June 2004] Bruce's 57th birthday.
[31 May 2004] THANK YOU, JOHN!
Last August, John Delorey of
Worcester Polytechnic Institute and Boston Conservatory was given the
unenviable
responsibility of stepping into Bruce's shoes and holding the fort as
Interim
Director of Choral Activities at College of the Holy Cross for the
academic
year 2003-2004. He threw himself wholeheartedly into the job,
performing
over and above and beyond the call of duty, and winning many friends in
the process. We thank him for everything he has done, and wish him
every
success in all his future musical ventures.

The collection of reflections
continues to grow. If you wish to share your own memories and stories
of
Bruce, please send them to Helga Perry
sharkli@supanet.com
- include your name and affiliation / relationship / involvement with
Bruce.
We are hoping to
create pages
about each of the productions with which Bruce was involved, so any
anecdotes
about rehearsals, concert reviews etc. would be gratefully received. We
are also seeking information to help us build up a complete chronology
of Bruce's life and work, incorporating all the significant events,
concerts, incidents.
Read Braden Mechley's
article
in the Fall 2003 Holy
Cross Magazine.
Read Father O'Halloran's
moving
tribute
to Bruce, which he gave at the Memorial Service on September 15th,
2003.
We are also looking
for more photos
of Bruce to add to the Photo Gallery. If you're
able to scan (digitize)
photos and e-mail them to us that would be great. Please include a
brief caption identifying when and where the photo was taken and who
took it. See the ones already in the gallery so
you'll
get the idea.
Sorry, we are
temporarily unable to accept photos by snail mail.
Future site sections
will include
Bruce's biography, soundclips of Choir concerts and of Bruce singing,
videoclips
of theatrical productions, musicological contributions, and more.
